Quality Website Content

Everyone’s a writer. I swear, they are. People are very quick to make this claim, and believe it or not, many of them are. But are they website writers? Chances are, no. Unless you specifically write with a trained eye for website copy, you’re probably missing the boat.

Everyone’s a writer. I swear, they are. People are very quick to make this claim, and believe it or not, many of them are. But are they website writers? Chances are, no. Unless you specifically write with a trained eye for website copy, you’re probably missing the boat.

It’s human nature not to want to read a lot of text. Think about it. How many websites do you like that have slick photos, gorgeous graphics — and LOADS of text? Not many I would imagine. So while you may be a writer, writing for a website is much different. You have to write “tight.” You must be thoughtful about your word choice. You still have to convey your message, but in a way that’s not only going to capture your audience, but also capture the crawlers and spiders that are tracking your site for search ranking. That’s right – your words must draw your audience in, all the while being conscious of their SEO value.

Quality website content is a must.

So what does that mean? Hiring a writer that’s versed in search engine optimization best practices is key. When a skilled writer can marry beautiful words with knowing what the search engines will be looking for, you’ll have a perfect partnership. I work with KJPR Writing and Editing Services to handle a lot of my writing needs for clients. The owner, Kim Jackson, knows her words — especially when we can’t find the right ones. I’ve been partnering with her for 10 years. She listens to my clients’ stories, pulls key words out of them with ease, and then incorporates those words into great copy for the websites I design. She captures the essence of the brand we’re trying to sell, all while being considerate of the fact that at the end of the day, I want my client sites to rank high in the search engines!

While I optimize my sites in many ways, having great SEO driven copy enhances the probability of high rankings in a search.
